so,jetzt habe ich die SMS registrierung mit meiner XL karte ,
wo nur mehr 300 IDR oben sind und die eigentlich nicht mehr gueltig ist,
durchgefuehrt.
keine probleme.
erhielt folgende antwort:

Terima kasih telah mendaftar.Dengan ini anda menyatakan bahwa data yang diberikan adalah benar.Simpan PIN 1234567 sebagai bukti pendaftaran kartu prabayar.

Danke,dass Sie sich angemeldet haben.. Damit gaben Sie an, dass die Daten, die angegeben wurden, richtig waren. Behalten Sie den PIN 1234567 als Registrierungsbeweis der Karte prabayar.

der PIN ist natuerlich geaendert.

bin gespannt,was ich im november damit anfangen kann.

A one-month reprieve is being offered to 15 million prepaid cellular phone users who have yet to register with only two days left before the government's deadline.

Information and Communication Minister Sofyan A. Djalil said Tuesday about 60 percent to 65 percent of 44 million prepaid phone users had registered their numbers along with required personal information, which was regulated by a ministerial decree issued last October.

The government had warned phone users who failed to register by the deadline would lose service.

"Before unregistered telephone numbers are banned, their outbound calls will be blocked for about a month. But they will still be able to send SMSs and receive incoming calls," Sofyan said after opening a workshop for broadband wireless access.

"This way they will still be able to register after April 28," he added.

Cellular phone users should type "daftar", meaning register, and send to 4444.

The ministry, the Directorate General of Post and Telecommunications and telecommunication operators will hold a meeting Wednesday to decide the best way to revoke unregistered numbers. The government is requiring registration to counter the use of cellular phones in crimes ranging from fraud to terror activities.

IT expert Roy Suryo considered a 65 percent registration rate was high. "It's the habit of Indonesians to act at the last minute," he said.

He estimated only about 80 percent of the prepaid phone numbers were in use, and the users would eventually register.

Meanwhile, a committee member of the Indonesian Telecommunication Regulation Body, Heru Sutadi, said that about 50 telecommunications related-companies were interested in entering the business of WiMax services.

WiMax is an acronym that stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access. It is similar to WiFi in concept, but has a number of enhancements designed to improve performance and permit usage over much greater distances.

Heru said the government was preparing necessary regulations to ensure fairness for all participants in the business.(08)

ist keine doofe frage.
habe zuerst auch ueberlegt.
ich habe bei meiner registrierung wien als wohnsitz angegeben.
das ganze duerfte nur automatiisch funktionieren.du gibst deine daten ein und bekommst eine SMS mit deinem PIN.
dass das von jemanden ueberprueft wird kann ich mir nicht vorstellen.
wie sollen die in indonesien meine reisepassnummer vergleichen,wenn ich die registrierung von oesterreich aus taetige.

heee leute
habe gestern meine karte wieder ausprobiert.
jetzt steht nur mehr dort: registrierung fehlgeschlagen,und nichts geht mehr.
obwohl mir vorher ein PIN zugeschickt wurde.
entweder ist meine karte abgelaufen,oder die angaben konnten nicht ueberprueft werden.
werde mir unten eine neue besorgen.

Die SIMPATI CARDS haben alle eine sog. AKTIF und PASSIF - Zeit,
doch meistens halten sie nicht länger als 3 Monate !
Tlw. sind die wichtigen Punkten auch in Englisch übersetzt !

Die Registrierung erforderte einige Zeit ... Pelan - Pelan !!!
Zumindestens sollte man/frau im engl. Alphaphet FIT sein ...

TELKOMSEL (222) wollte nur die üblichen Infos;
an der Religionszuhörigkeit bzw. den Namen meiner Eltern war
niemand interessiert !

Doch Du solltest den postal und area code wissen,
wo Du lt. VISA ON ARRIVAL gemeldet bist !
Schnapp' Dir am besten ein Infoblatt des Hotels,
denn dort müßten die aktuellen Daten stehen !!!

Und Deine Adresse in Vienna mußt Du ggf. auch buchstabieren ...
Als mein "L" via phone nicht 'rüberkam, buchstabierte ich dann tlw.
auch " A= like Amed and L=like Lovina " ...

die registrierung hat bei mir ohne probleme funktioniert.
habe den Pin code bekommen.
nur jetzt,nach 14 tagen, steht registrierung fehlgeschlagen.
wahrscheinlich ist die karte nicht mehr gueltig.

Registration of Prepaid Hand Phone Cards in Indonesia

A government regulation that took effect on November 1, 2005 requires that all users of prepaid cards for hand phones (cell phones or mobile phones) in Indonesia register their identity for security purposes. The deadline for registration is April 28, 2006 and if you do not register you risk losing your number.
Registration can be done by sending a free SMS containing the word “daftar” (register) to the number 4444. Each operator will reply with different mechanisms but basically requiring subscribers to send personal details including name, address, place and date of birth, and the number of some kind of identity card.

The system of registration by the three main operators is as follows:

TELKOMSEL “SIMPATI”

Send an SMS to 4444 “daftar”.

You will receive a reply in 7 stages as follows:

“Tahap 1 dari 7: Selamat datang di registrasi prabayar. Saya melakukan registrasi dg memberikan identitas secara benar & lengkap. Ketik Y utk Setuju, T utk Tidak”

muss dazu noch etwas sagen , habe im juli eine Pro XL karte benutzt , habe nichts registriert , aber sie funzt immer noch
